Permitted appelation yields up and irrigation allowed in France

The National Committee of the INAO agreed at their November 3-4 meeting to allow many of the permitted yields across France's appellations to increase for the 2004/2005 sales campaign.
This increase reflects the very large 2004 vintage. The INAO decision includes allowing the authorized limit for Champagne to be raised to 14,000 kilos of grapes per hectare. Read more at: www.winebusiness.com
