House of JC Le Roux extends summer tours & tastings

In celebration of the emerging summer, The House of JC Le Roux, South Africa’s leading house of sparkling wines opens its doors with sparkling wine tours and tastings on relaxed and lazy Sundays. Late sleepers and Sunday shoppers will be pleased to know that they can also indulge in a lavish breakfast, brunch or delicious lunch at the recently opened restaurant at this spectacular winelands setting, in Devon Valley on the outskirts of Stellenbosch.

The restaurant re-opened last month under the expert guidance of restaurateur Handre Kok with the support of the experienced Knights Catering team. This modern restaurant will charm visitors with delightful menus and the superb taste of the ever-popular JC Le Roux Methode Cap Classique and sparkling wines.

Knights Catering has been providing superb fine food for private entertainment functions for over twenty-three years. Together with Handre's creative flair they will create an Epicurean extravagance at the House of JC Le Roux.

The new menu at The Restaurant at the House of JC Le Roux will showcase an abundance of fresh seasonal Devon Valley produce. Delicious wholesome breakfasts of muesli and Greek yoghurt, poached eggs with crispy bacon or Boland chipolata sausages and lunches paired with the best selection of bubblies to suit each and every occasion, are served Tuesday to Saturday 09h00 until 15h00 and Sundays, September-April, in its idyllic location.

Indulge in a blissful romantic meal for two with roasted red pepper soup followed by a mouth-watering chicken breast fillet stuffed with soft figs and walnuts before giving in to the sinfully delicious pavlova of meringue pillows with lemon curd & chantilly cream. In celebration of that special memorable occasion enjoy the finest Norwegian Salmon with Wasabi crème fraîche on a bed of cucumber salad or tuck into a succulent slow roasted prime oxtail or seared Kudu loin served with caramelised red onion & port sauce and creamy mashed potatoes.

A picking of the finest desserts are also on offer comprising an unforgettable Death by Chocolate indulgence, Cape-style brandy pudding with hot vanilla custard and freshly home-baked cheesecake.

The House of JC Le Roux has also created a sensuous taste experience for bubbly lovers with its exciting wine tasting with a difference. The five-course tasting for groups of ten or more, perfectly matches selected dishes with its stunning award-winning Cap Classique and sparkling wines. Don't miss out on an unforgettable wine tasting in the perfect surroundings of the tranquil Cape winelands at only R160 per person.

The House of J.C. Le Roux offers fascinating cellar tours from Mondays to Fridays at 10h00, 11h30 and 15h00 - including public holidays - Saturdays at 10h00 and 12h00 and Sundays at 11h00 and 12h00 (September-April). Daily tastings are on offer from 08h30-16h30, Mondays to Fridays, 10h00-16h00 on Saturdays and 10h00-15h00 on Sundays (September-April). Booking is essential.
