Take the yawn factor out of planning your next event. Help us ensure that our wine fact sheets have the information you need: no more trawling through multiple sites for your wine list or tasting.

wine.co.za has over 43 000 wines in our database and has hit a record of more than 1 million views of just wine pages per month! Our team works hard at keeping our information interesting, updated, and importantly, accurate, appropriate and relevant.

Of the millions of pages of South African Wine information which wine.co.za serves every month, 30% of them are wine fact sheets.

We have a good sense of the requirement of the industry. Spencer Fondaumiere, South African Sommeliers Association (SASA) chair, notes that change is inevitable and frequent, particularly when it comes to vintage and blend changes and alcohol percentages, "but," he says "wine.co.za solves this problem with incredible detail all in one place. It makes the work of the sommelier that little bit easier".

Wines of South Africa (WoSA) wine champion in Germany, Petra Mayer, says the availability of comprehensive wine data is invaluable, particularly for access to some of the older vintages.

wine.co.za is spreading the net wider – we’re checking with the broader wine warrior community what you would like to see.

So, what is important in a fact sheet?

  • Alcohol percentage,
  • Ageing ability,
  • Age of the vine,
  • Harvest conditions
  • Awards,
  • Winemaker,
  • Acid,
  • Wine-making techniques,
  • Story,
  • Closure details?
  • Wooded or not?
  • or .........?
