Marianne Wine Estate
The Marianne Wine Estate has achieved six medals at last week’s Michelangelo International Wine Awards. Michelangelo was established by sole proprietor Lorraine Immelman in 1997 and supports a panel of international wine experts.

All wines submitted by Marianne received a medal, including 1 Grand Or (double gold) for the Merlot 2009, 4 Golds (Pinotage, Cabernet Sauvignon and Floreal, all 2009 and Sauvignon Blanc 2012) and 1 Silver for Shiraz 2009.

"We are thrilled by these results which confirm Marianne as one of the leading boutique Estates in South Africa, and follows on from our success at Veritas last year. I am particularly excited by this outcome confirming the space for older wines in the South African marketplace. A definite trend in our industry" says Managing Director, Alex Brodbeck.

Shareholder and Cellarmaster Christian Dauriac says "Our Merlot continues to be the pride of the property but I am particularly excited that our Wooded Sauvignon Blanc is now getting recognition. We have focused on this varietal in the last years and it feels good to be reaping the rewards of this hard work". For more information and results, visit Michelangelo's awards page here.

In celebration of the Michelangelo Award result and the pending Spring season, Marianne are offering these unreleased and award winning wines as a 12 case (2 of each) with a 10% discount and free delivery to anywhere in South Africa.
