KWV Wines the biggest winners in this year’s Best Value Wine Guide.

The 2014 Best Value Guide is out, and KWV’s Pearly Bay and Concordia White ranges win three of the 22 Value Award wines, more than any other producer.
The guide lists 472 wines, blind tasted from a selection of almost 1,000.

Value Award Wines were judged by the tasting panel to be the “best value for money of all wines entered”, scoring 19 or 20 out of 20 on the value scale.

Pearly Bay Dry red and Sweet White scooped up the accolades, as did KWV Concordia White 2012. Concordia White. They cost R26.95 and R34.95 respectively.

In addition, only two wines were awarded a coveted 4 ½ stars, KWV Classic Collection Cape Tawny (R61.88) and Table Bay Blanc de Blanc MCC (R69.99).

Gauteng wine enthusiasts will have the opportunity to sample a wide selection of the wines from the 2014 awards at the Gauteng Getaway Show which runs from August 30 to September 1st, at the Coca-Cola Dome in Midrand.
