Klein Constantia
Today, we officially release Vin de Constance 2008. After a long wait and much anticipation, this golden nectar is available for purchase from the estate.
Following in the steps of the highly acclaimed 97 points-crowned 2007 vintage, comes a wine that we believe will surpass expectations as we strive to create one of the best natural sweet wines in the world.

“The complexity of the 2008 Vin de Constance is already evident. Displaying a more classic style with a big palate weight and lots of secondary flavours, it hints at some of the changes happening at Klein Constantia.  This vintage gives an indication of what is to come in the next few years,” says winemaker, Matthew Day.

Production of this unique wine from the cool climate hills of Constantia is extremely limited, and only produced in exceptional years. After five years of careful maturation and ageing in our cellars the wine is bottled, hand-labeled and released.

Vin de Constance is a Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains based natural sweet wine, made by allowing the grapes to reach full ripeness and then raisin on the vines before picking late in the harvest season.

Since the first modern vintage release in 1986, chefs, sommeliers, critics and collectors have consistently praised this rare South African wine as one of the great sweet wines of the world.

We thank you for your continued support.
