Boschendal Wines, the iconic wine brand produced on South Africa’s second oldest wine estate, has appointed Ben du Toit as its new Marketing Manager to continue the success of the brand.
Du Toit, who joins the dynamic Boschendal brand as of 15 July 2013, has over 8 years experience in the marketing and sales industry. Armed with a BComm in Management Accounting, an MBA from Stellenbosch University and a Higher Diploma in Integrated Marketing Communication from the AAA School of Advertising, he will be responsible for implementing strategies to grow Boschendal Wines market share and brand equity through strategic advertising, promotions and merchandising.

"It is a huge opportunity to join one of South Africa’s greatest brands and one with such great heritage,” said Du Toit. “I look forward to the challenge of taking this brand to even greater heights.”

Although Ben has no wine experience I was impressed with the passion and commitment he showed. I think he is going to love this new position,” said Jacques Roux, Marketing Director for parent company DGB,

First granted to French Huguenot Jean le Long, Boschendal dates back to 1685 and ownership has passed through several hands including those of legendary mining magnate Cecil John Rhodes. Today DGB produces Boschendal Wines at the estate’s cellar, which is less than an hour's drive from Cape Town.
