Adoro
Here at Adoro, it's no secret that we're passionate about animals. In fact, our Board of Directors is arguably the most adorable you'll ever find! Merlot, Girlie, Levi, Roxy and Zakkie are an integral part of our team and each play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of Adoro Wines. But, whilst they're all Border Collies in breed, they certainly didn't all come from a life of pampered luxury. Most of our dogs were adopted from rescues and shelters, where they were removed from horrific and cruel circumstances, and that's one of the many reasons why we at Adoro are such supporters of animal welfare throughout South Africa.
The Adoro Animal Welfare Challenge is an initiative through which we would like to give back. We'd like to highlight the many unsung heroes who have made the world of difference to rescue animals across the country, by opening their homes and hearts through adoption, and we also want to applaud South Africa's shelters for the tireless work that they do for animal rights and welfare.
We've chosen 5 rescue organisations, each very close to our hearts, to stand in line to win the cash prize of R5000: Wetnose, FORA, African Tails, The Carthorse Association and the Cape SPCA. BUT, there are many other charities doing fantastic jobs too, so please do nominate your favourites if they're not on our list!
The charity with the most votes at the end of our challenge will walk away with R5000 cash!
Here's what you need to do:
Write to us and tell us YOUR adoption story. We want to hear from you on the
charity that you adopted your canine or even feline companion from and why that
charity should win.
Make sure to attach a photo of your pet, too!
We'll load all of the entries to our Facebook
page for viewing throughout the competition.
Encourage your friends and family to come and
like your entries!
At the end of the competition, our esteemed
Board of Directors will make an entirely unbiased (and unswayed by treats of
any kind) decision and the winning story and photo will be chosen. The winner
will win R5000 for his or her named charity!
Competition closes end of February
