Four trophies for SA at IWSC 2005

Three South African wines and one brandy were awarded trophies at this year's International Wine and Spirit Competition, it was announced at Vinexpo last week.
The Mission Hill Trophy for Chardonnay was awarded to Rustenberg for their Rustenberg Chardonnay 2003. The KWV International Trophy for Pinotage went to Kanonkop for its Pinotage 1998 and the Longridge Merlot 2003 scooped the Winecorp Trophy for Merlot. South Africa received one trophy in the spirits category. The IWSC Trophy for Worldwide Brandy went to Distell for its Van Ryn’s Collection Reserve 12 Year Old.
