Wine giant, WestCorp, will be releasing their Gôiya D-Lite-Ful White, Red and Rosé early December. This range is the first bottled wine in South Africa to be approved by the health and slimming club, Weigh-Less.
Calorie conscious wine lovers can now enjoy a glass of wine without compromising their diet.
Wine giant, WestCorp, will be releasing their Gôiya D-Lite-Ful White, Red and Rosé early December. This range is the first bottled wine in South Africa to be approved by the health and slimming club, Weigh-Less.
Wine is usually not recommended for those following the Weigh-Less lifestyle, due to its high sugar and alcohol content. WestCorp and Weigh-Less have joined forces to ensure that the D-Lite-Ful range meets all the criteria of the slimming club.
Weigh-Less members can now exchange one portion of their daily fat intake for a 120ml glass of wine without worrying about the extra pounds.
Winemaker Driaan van der Merwe describes Gôiya D-Lite-Ful White as a crisp wine with tropical fruit aromas. This elegant, dry blend of Chenin Blanc and Hanepoot is the perfect partner to fish and chicken, and should be enjoyed within six months of purchase.
The light coral coloured Gôiya D-Lite-Ful Rosé - a blend of 50% Chenin Blanc, 30% Hanepoot and 20% Pinotage - with fresh strawberry flavours, is ideal for summer. Driaan advises wine lovers to enjoy the wine with fish, pasta or salad, within six months of purchase.
Gôiya D-Lite-Ful Red is a lively, light-bodied blend of Ruby Cabernet, Merlot and Pinotage. According to winemaker Len Knoetze, this ruby red wine exudes fruity flavours, with a red berry and plum bouquet and a hint of dried peach on the nose.
The Gôiya D-Lite-Ful range is available at the reasonable price of R26-00 for the red, R20-00 for the white en R22-00 for the rosé.
