The Mushroom Festival Menu at one.waterfront will cast a spell on diners
Having scooped the 1st, 2nd and 4th place Chef's Cuisine awards at the 2003 Mushroom Festival - the culinary team at one.waterfront are back with more mushroom magic. To kick off this year's festival, a team of eight one.waterfront chefs have put together a menu of mushroom inspired dishes that will have any fungi fan salivating. All eight chefs, will individually enter the Chefs De Cuisine section of the Mushroom Festival competition where they will present their own creations made up of 60% mushrooms. The Mushroom Festival Menu at one.waterfront will cast a spell on diners with a surprise taster in the form of a little magical mushroom soup. As a starter, the Classic Oysters - a winning combination from the previous year - have been recalled due to popularity and feature oyster mushrooms made to look like real oysters - shell and all. Each individual oyster mushroom is served in the traditional Florentine, Mornay and Horseback styles. The main course temptation is traditional penne pasta served in a cream of fresh summer mushrooms and lots of parsley. This Mushroom Festival menu will run over lunchtime everyday at one.waterfront for the duration of the Mushroom Festival from 8 to 21 March 2004. The cost is R120.00 per person.
