On the charming estate Goedverwacht, situated outside of Robertson en route to Bonnievale, Jan du Toit and his team started harvesting on Monday, 26 January 2004.
Part of the tradition on the estate is starting early morning and working with the grapes while they’re still cool, ensuring the fruit and acid balances in the grapes are at their very best. The grapes are healthy with only patches of rot caused by the sultry weather, but Jan, his family, and all wine lovers are looking forward to great quality 2004 wines.
Goedverwacht will be releasing a new wine later this year, watch this space for our 2003 Shiraz. The 2004 white wines will be released from May.
