HEINEKEN Beverages has been named Best Producer at the prestigious 2026 MUNDUS VINI Summer Tasting in Germany, following an exceptional showing by its wine portfolio, with Nederburg, Durbanville Hills and Zonnebloem collectively earning a haul of grand gold, gold and silver accolades.
The recognition underscores the depth and consistency of HEINEKEN Beverages’ winemaking portfolio, with Nederburg accounting for one grand gold, three gold and three silver medals, while Durbanville Hills added four gold and nine silver medals. Zonnebloem further contributed a silver to the overall performance.
Nederburg delivered one of the most notable individual results of the competition, with the 2025 Nederburg The Winemasters Noble Late Harvest being named Best of Show South Africa – Noble Sweet and receiving grand gold.
The accolade adds another significant international endorsement to Nederburg’s long-standing reputation for producing exceptional sweet wines.
The Nederburg portfolio also secured gold medals for its 2024 Double Barrel Reserve Bordeaux-style red blend, 2024 The Winemasters Shiraz, and 2025 The Winemasters Chardonnay.
Three further wines received silver medals: the 2026 The Winemasters Sauvignon Blanc, 2026 The Winemasters Rosé and 2024 The Winemasters Cabernet Sauvignon.
For Durbanville Hills, the results span the cellar’s sparkling, white and red wine portfolio, with gold awarded to its 2022 Methode Cap Classique Chardonnay Blanc de Blancs, 2025 Collectors’ Reserve The Cableway Chardonnay, 2025 Collectors’ Reserve The Cape Mist Sauvignon Blanc, and 2026 Chenin Blanc.
A further nine Durbanville Hills wines received silvers, including the 2024 The Promenade Pinotage, 2025 The Cape Garden Chenin Blanc, 2024 The Castle of Good Hope Cabernet Sauvignon, 2024 The High Noon Shiraz, and 2024 The Lighthouse Merlot – all from the prestige Collectors’ Reserve range – as well as the 2025 Chardonnay, 2026 Sauvignon Blanc and 2024 Merlot.
The results were rounded out by a silver medal for 2022 Zonnebloem Lauréat, a Bordeaux-style red blend led by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
