We’re raising a glass to an exciting milestone at Durbanville Hills! At the inaugural Cape Town Regional Young Wine Show, we were thrilled to take home three Champion trophies for our Chardonnay, Pinotage and Merlot. Hosted at our home in Durbanville, this year’s show marked the first time Cape Town had its own regional division of the South African Young Wine Show, making these accolades all the more special. For our winemaking team, the results offer an exciting early indication of the quality and promise of the new vintage. We’re incredibly proud to see three of our wines recognised at this prestigious platform, celebrating the character of our cool-climate Durbanville vineyards. Metro Merlot returns
Spring evenings call for good wine, great flavours and a little city energy. On Wednesday, 9 September from 18h00, we’re inviting you to experience Metro Merlot – a celebration of this much-loved red variety with the lights of Cape Town as your backdrop. Set at Durbanville Hills, the evening pairs a guided tasting of four Merlot wines with specially created canapés designed to bring out the personality of each wine. Add a live DJ, spectacular sunset views and a relaxed after-dark atmosphere, and you have all the ingredients for a memorable night out. Whether Merlot is already your go-to red or you’re keen to discover a new favourite, this is your chance to taste your way through the Durbanville Hills range in a setting made for spring.

Join us at Drink & Dine Durbanville
We’re bringing great wine and food together this spring as part of Drink & Dine Durbanville, a celebration of the people, flavours and hospitality that make our region such a special food and wine destination. From 31 August to 11 September 2026, Durbanville Wine Valley wineries will partner with some of the area’s favourite restaurants for a series of exclusive Food & Wine evenings, each offering its own unique culinary and wine experience. We’re delighted to be partnering with Licence to Grill Restaurant at Groot Phesantekraal Shopping Centre on 4 September, at 18:00. Exciting things are taking shape
Our renovations are progressing beautifully, and we’re getting closer to unveiling our refreshed outdoor space. Our pizza oven is almost ready to fire up, promising plenty of delicious moments to come, while the new outdoor area is taking shape ahead of its full launch in October. We’re also creating an even more welcoming space for families and friends, with a relocated kids’ play area, outdoor bar and brand-new seating area designed for relaxed afternoons, good food, and great wine.
There’s still a little work to be done, but we can already see the vision coming to life, and we can’t wait to welcome you to our new outdoor experience this spring. Watch this space… something delicious is coming.
