Vergelegen
Vergelegen has done it again! For the second year running, the wine estate has been named the "Best Wine Farm Experience" in the public-nominated KFM Best of the Cape Awards.

From its beautiful natural surroundings and exquisite gardens, to its award-winning wine, food and warm hospitality, Vergelegen Wine Estate delivers experiences that keep 160 000 visitors coming back annually.

“We are absolutely honoured,” said Vergelegen managing director Wayne Coetzer when the results were announced. “Thank you to everyone who has made a memory here, either by visiting or enjoying our glorious wine.

“These accolades are always due to the staff who go out of their way, every day, heart and soul, to make every experience fantastic for our visitors.”

Commenting on the exquisite estate gardens, KFM announcer Carl Wastie said, “You can visit for the gardens and stay for the wine, food and service. That’s why people have voted for you, there’s pure magic at Vergelegen.”

Coetzer says the team members are not resting on their laurels. Following a devastating fire in March, the rebuilt Stables restaurant is scheduled to open in November with a refined menu and seating for 80 people. The children’s play area is also being upgraded to ensure that young visitors enjoy a memorable visit too.

Vergelegen is open daily from 08h30 to 17h00, with last entry at 16h00. Entrance costs R30 per adult and R10 for pensioners and scholars. Pensioners may visit free of charge on Mondays. Find out more at vergelegen.co.za.
