Described as sunshine in a glass, Bruce Jack Wines' Lifestyle Pinot Grigio is made for the moments that define the season: the first long lunch outside, a picnic assembled at the last minute, fresh food shared around the table and an afternoon that continues well beyond its original plans.
Crisp and light-bodied, the Bruce Jack Lifestyle Pinot Grigio opens with a delicate floral perfume of orange blossom and honeysuckle. Citrus, pear and stone-fruit notes carry through to the palate, joined by apple blossom, peach and a refreshing twist of lime.
The grapes are received at the cellar early in the morning while temperatures are still cool, helping to protect the freshness of the fruit. After crushing and pressing, the juice is settled and clarified before fermentation, stabilisation and filtration.
“Pinot Grigio is a wine people choose for its freshness and ease. At the same time, easy-drinking should never mean forgettable. We wanted to retain the freshness and lightness people enjoy about Pinot Grigio while giving the wine more perfume, fruit definition and personality. The result is bright, expressive and wonderfully uncomplicated – sunshine in a glass,” says Bruce Jack.
It is also very good with a picnic, bare feet and no immediate plans.
While it can be cellared under suitable conditions for up to three years, this is not a bottle that needs to wait for a special occasion. It is ready to be chilled, opened and enjoyed now, and preferably somewhere in the sunshine.
