Perdeberg's award-winning wines at the Fine Wine Awards

Perdeberg's award-winning wines at the 2026 Fine Wine Awards, sponsored by American Express, include:

  • Trophy: The Vineyard Collection Grenache Blanc 2025
  • Gold: The Dry Land Collection Longevity Natural Sweet Chenin Blanc 2025
  • 10 x Silvers: Across The Vineyard Collection and The Dry Land Collection ranges

The Trophy went to The Vineyard Collection Grenache Blanc 2025, grown on 15-year-old dry-farmed vines in the Coastal Region, on soils of decomposed granite, sandstone, and Malmesbury shales. The dry 2025 growing season brought yields down but concentrated flavour, colour, and natural acidity in the fruit. On the nose, the wine shows gooseberry, green fig, and grassy notes, with a fresh, crisp palate. Ready to enjoy now, with the potential to develop over the next three years.

The Gold medal went to The Dry Land Collection Longevity Natural Sweet Chenin Blanc 2025, a 100% Chenin Blanc from 21-year-old dry-farmed vines on Malmesbury shales in Paarl. Extended skin contact and 10 to 12 months in second-fill French oak barrels give the wine its deep gold colour and its layered bouquet of marmalade, peach, apricot, and honeycomb, with a hint of ginger, leading into a viscous, voluptuous palate. It's ready to enjoy now, with the potential to age for a further eight years

“Trophy for our Vineyard Collection Grenache Blanc 2025 and the Gold for our Dry Land Collection Natural Sweet Chenin Blanc 2025 sit alongside ten Silver medals across both ranges, and that spread means a great deal to us. It shows the consistency of our dry-farmed vineyards and the character each of our ranges brings to the glass, vintage after vintage.” says Andri le Roux, Perdeberg winemaker.

Twelve medals across The Vineyard Collection and The Dry Land Collection tells you everything about the depth of what we're doing at Perdeberg Wines. This isn't one standout wine, it's a result that runs across two very different ranges, and it gives our customers real confidence in the quality behind every bottle they choose.

Perdeberg continues to build on its legacy of winemaking excellence, adding to a growing list of accolades for the brand.

About The Vineyard Collection and The Dry Land Collection

he Vineyard Collection wines are made from specific vineyards, each chosen for its unique character of cultivar and terroir. They are crafted in an elegant new world style, with subtle wood contact on the reds and the whites left unwooded. Each wine tells its own story.

The Dry Land Collection wines are made from grapes grown on dry-farmed vineyards, showcasing the character of wines grown in this testing terroir. The reds are matured in vats, and only some of the whites have wood contact, always with a focus on fruit with integrated wood. These wines are equally at home with food or on their own.
