Hartenberg Estate has welcomed acclaimed young winemaker Nongcebo Langa to its cellar team, marking an exciting new chapter for one of Stellenbosch’s most respected wine estates. Working alongside Head Winemaker Reynie Oosthuizen, Nongcebo joins the estate as it continues its pursuit of exceptional wines shaped by remarkable vineyards and regenerative farming.
Nongcebo brings recognised talent, experience and a thoughtful approach to winemaking.
A Stellenbosch University graduate with a master’s degree in Oenology, Nongcebo previously served as Winemaker at Delheim Estate. She progressed from an internship to Assistant Winemaker before being appointed Winemaker, gaining extensive experience across the estate’s portfolio.
Her talent has already earned national recognition, including being named Diners Club Young Winemaker of the Year, an accolade that reflects both her winemaking ability and her growing influence within the South African wine industry.

At Hartenberg Estate, Nongcebo will work closely with the vineyard and cellar teams across a portfolio led by Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. Her appointment comes as the estate continues to deepen the connection between its regenerative farming journey and wines that express the character of their vineyards.
