With the annual Franschhoek Bastille Festival taking place on 11 and 12 July, we are adding some fabulous French touches to everything we do at Leopard's Leap Family Vineyards, and we invite you to join us – at our Franschhoek address or at home!

Best red and more
We are very excited to share the news about the exceptional performance of our Culinaria Collection at the recent National Wine Challenge.
The 2021 Leopard’s Leap Culinaria Grand Vin was awarded Red Wine of the Year, while also being named Grand Cru National Champion Best in Class. This exceptional wine, together with the 2024 Pinot Noir, its red partner in the Culinaria Collection, was also included in the Top 100, while both wines received Double Platinum awards. The 2025 vintage of the stalwart Leopard’s Leap Culinaria Chenin Blanc was also recognised with a Double Gold award.
During July, to celebrate this wonderful recognition as well as the French inspiration of our Culinaria Collection, buy any six bottles from our Tasting Room or online shop and enjoy 10% off.

Our menu Frenchified
There’s no French talk without food talk! For July, we are adding some delightful French touches to both our weekday menu and a special blackboard offering when we reopen on 8 July 2026. Expect hot-smoked salmon tartare, French onion soup, Beef Bourguignon, pan-fried line fish with Pommes Anna, to name but a few. Each dish is perfectly paired with wines from our Culinaria Collection.

Frites and fizz
The history of French fries is quite controversial, but whether you call them frites or fries, they are deliciously moreish and make for an unbelievable pairing with our Cap Classique. The wine's crisp acidity and delightful bubbles beautifully balance the fattiness and saltiness of the fries. Join us in the Leopard’s Leap Tasting Room for a Frites & Fizz pairing. R110. Available from 8 July, Tuesday to Sunday.
Your cooking Frenchified
Join the fun and add a few French touches to your own cooking this winter. Perhaps you have a new take on the Bobotie or Chicken Pie, but few things make for more heated fire-side conversations than the ingredients on your braaibroodjie. In essence, however, you need quality bread, plenty of butter and oozing cheese. What French favourite does this remind you of? Of course! The delicious Croque Madame!
