Set against sweeping vineyard views, the menu showcases comforting winter flavours and refined local cuisine, from bobotie-spiced chicken supreme and slow-cooked pork belly to Chalmar beef fillet with coffee jus. There are also thoughtfully crafted vegetarian and vegan options. Finish on a sweet note with one of the restaurant's decadent desserts and savour a leisurely winter lunch in the warm, welcoming atmosphere of Durbanville Hills.

Hot chocolate and wine: The ultimate winter treat
Warm up this winter with our much-loved Hot Chocolate and Wine Tasting, returning by popular demand! This playful and indulgent experience pairs four Durbanville Hills red wines with four handcrafted chocolate bombs, each designed to melt into steaming milk and reveal layers of rich flavour.
Discover the delicious combinations of Cabernet Sauvignon with coffee and hazelnut, Merlot with dark chocolate mint and raspberry, Pinotage with dark chocolate cherry and Turkish delight, and Shiraz with cinnamon and nutmeg. Add a splash of wine to your hot chocolate and experiment to find your perfect balance of comforting warmth and sophisticated flavour.
At R240 per person, the tasting includes four wines, four chocolate bombs and hot milk for a truly memorable winter treat. Available from 1 July to 31 August 2026.

Craft your own signature red blend
Ever wondered what it takes to create the perfect red blend? Join us on 19 August at 18h00 for an exclusive winter evening that offers a hands-on introduction to the art of blending. The experience begins with a glass of sparkling wine before guests venture into the cellar for a fascinating look at our winemaking process and a rare opportunity to taste wines directly from the barrel. Guided by our winemaking team, you'll then step into the role of winemaker, experimenting with different components to create, bottle and take home your own unique blend. Afterwards, continue the evening at The Tangram restaurant, where a delicious two-course dinner paired with Durbanville Hills wines awaits.
Tickets are R595 per person. No under-18s and no walk-ins permitted.

Enhancing your Durbanville Hills experience
Exciting changes are underway at Durbanville Hills as we renovate our beloved Olive Grove Terrace to create an even more inviting space for guests to enjoy in the future. While the work is in progress, our Tasting Room remains open as usual, and The Tangram restaurant continues to welcome guests for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Please note that the Olive Grove seating area and children's play area will be temporarily inaccessible during the renovation period.
