Perdeberg Wines' Dry Land Collection secured two of its highest accolades, led by a platinum medal (97 points) for the Dry Land Collection Joseph's Legacy 2024.
Widely regarded as one of the world's most influential wine competitions, the Decanter World Wine Awards attracts thousands of entries from across the globe, judged by an expert panel of Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers and leading wine specialists.
The standout performer, Dry Land Collection Joseph's Legacy 2024, was awarded a coveted platinum medal with 97 points, placing it among the competition's elite wines. This Rhône-inspired blend of Shiraz, Grenache and Mourvèdre showcases the depth, structure and elegance achievable in the Paarl region. Matured in French oak barrels and crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the wine expresses layered aromas of black pepper, dried spice, cherry, red berries and subtle vanilla, culminating in a refined and complex palate.
Adding to the winery's success was the Dry Land Collection Longevity Natural Sweet Chenin Blanc 2025, which earned a gold medal and 95 points. A testament to Perdeberg's expertise with Chenin Blanc, the wine displays generous aromas of marmalade, honeycomb and ginger spice, supported by a rich, voluptuous palate and remarkable balance. The award highlights the versatility of Chenin Blanc and Perdeberg's ability to produce exceptional expressions across a range of wine styles.
