Hazendal Wine is proud to announce its strong performance in the Winemag Minority Report 2026.

The Winemag Minority Report 2026, which celebrates excellence in wines made from South Africa’s lesser-planted grape varieties.

In this year’s blind tasting, Hazendal Wine Estate achieved outstanding recognition across both white and red wine categories, reaffirming its commitment to crafting expressive, site-driven wines from alternative cultivars.

The Estate White Blend 2025 was ranked among the top-performing white wines in the report, scoring in the 94-point range, and placing it among the highest-rated wines of the tasting.

In the red wine category, the Estate Carignan 2025 achieved 93 points, securing a position among the top red wines.

The Bottelary Hills Syrah 2025 was also awarded 93 points in the Winemag Shiraz Report, further strengthening the Estate’s Syrah expression from the Bottelary Hills terroir.

Together, these achievements reinforce Hazendal’s growing reputation for innovation, precision, and quality within South Africa, and its continued role in elevating the Bottelary Hills as a distinctive wine origin.

The Bottelary Hills Syrah 2025 forms part of the inaugural collection produced by cellarmaster, Kiara Scott Farmer, which was officially launched this month. Hazendal Wine Estate looks forward to the launch of The Estate collection soon.
