Vineyard Collection Grenache Noir 2024
Category: Minority Red
Score: 94 points
Achievement: Best of Category – Minority Red
We are exceptionally proud to announce that our Vineyard Collection Grenache Noir 2024 has been awarded the Minority Red Best of the Category, achieving an outstanding 94 points in the 2026 Prescient WineMag Autumn Series. This remarkable accolade places the wine at the forefront of its class, recognising it as the leading wine in the Minority Red category and underscoring Perdeberg Wines’ commitment to producing wines of exceptional quality and distinction.
Made from 100% Grenache Noir, the wine originates from dry-farmed vineyards in Paarl, planted in decomposed granite soils. The wine was matured for 12 months in French oak barrels, enhancing texture while preserving the purity of fruit. The result is a medium-red wine with expressive aromas of red berries, cherries, and subtle spice. The palate is fresh, elegant, and smooth, reflecting a modern interpretation of Grenache Noir with both vibrancy and finesse.
Dry Land Collection Rossouw’s Heritage 2025
Category: Cape White Blend
Score: 92 points
Achievement: Top 10 in the Cape White Blend category
The Dry Land Collection Rossouw’s Heritage 2025 was awarded an impressive 92 points in the Cape White Blend category, also earning a place in the Top 10 wines in this category. Crafted from a distinctive blend of Chenin Blanc (67%), Grenache Blanc (18%), and Viognier (15%), this wine is a true expression of site-driven winemaking.
Sourced from vineyards rooted in decomposed granite, Malmesbury shale, and Glenrosa soils, and cultivated under dry-framed conditions, this wine reflects the purity and concentration that come from low-yielding, mature vines. The 2025 vintage delivered naturally balanced fruit with excellent acidity and flavour intensity, following a dry late-season period that enhanced grape quality. The wine shows a light gold hue, with aromas of citrus, tropical fruit, and white pear. The palate is rich yet focused, layered with delicate vanilla notes, and finishes with a crisp, vibrant acidity.
As Perdeberg Wines celebrates its 85th Harvest, these achievements in the Prescient WineMag Autumn Series hold special significance. They not only honour the craftsmanship and dedication behind every vintage but also reflect decades of experience in unlocking the full potential of our unique vineyard sites. Each bottle tells part of a much larger story. One shaped by time, place, and people.
