Cobie van Oort was the founder of the Cabernet Franc Challenge. Her agency, CVO Marketing, also launched the Cabernet Franc Carnival 12 years ago, which was a huge success. The following year, Cobie asked me to join her on this journey to highlight Cabernet Franc not just in a blend but as a standalone variety.
Cobie passed away in 2020, and it was decided to continue running the competition under the banner of CVO Marketing.
We are happy to announce that the judges for the 2026 Cabernet Franc Challenge are Fiona McDonald (Chair), Norma Ratcliffe, and Lizette Tolken.
