The Easter long weekend has a way of really bringing people together. In the Cape, that usually means finding a long table under an old oak tree or exploring the garden paths of a historic estate. This year, the Winelands are leaning into that spirit of connection, offering a mix of experiences that go well beyond the basics.
From soul-stirring classical concerts in Franschhoek to laid-back farm-style brunches in Stellenbosch, local wine estates are inviting you to gather, share a bottle, and make the most of the four-day break. Whether you're hunting for Easter eggs with the kids at Spier or sitting down to a refined Sunday feast at Lanzerac, it's about those unhurried moments that stay with you long after the weekend is over. Here is our guide to the best of Easter 2026 – where the hospitality is warm, the wine is world-class, and the focus is firmly on family.
Easter Classical Music Concert at La Motte
La Motte celebrates Easter with a classical music concert at the end of March. The special programme of voice and piano takes audiences on a journey through the Easter season's central themes – from sacrifice and suffering to contemplation, hope and joy. Performers include soprano Siphamandla Moyake, tenor Lukhanyo Moyake, and pianist Esthea Kruger. After the concert, stay for dinner at the estate's L’Ami Family Brasserie. With the special concert and dinner package, sit down to a three-course menu with a glass of wine from the La Motte Classic Collection.
