Muratie
Muratie Wine Estate shares the latest harvest news, wine recommendations, upcoming events, and more.

Heading into the second month of harvest, most of our white grapes have been harvested and the red wave is here. Muratie Wine Estate winemaker Hattingh is very impressed with the quality of the developing young white wines and notes that the red grapes are also showing well-balanced analyses and brilliant deep colour.

One of the major reasons for the success of our harvest every year is the commitment and collaboration of the production team. They are a diverse mix of seasoned veterans and visiting interns from around the world. This year, we have had cellar assistants from the US, Switzerland and France lending their talents and enthusiasm to our winemaking effort. We always enjoy getting to learn more about their respective cultures and wine traditions, and sharing our own rich heritage with them. And so, amid the hard work and occasional stress of harvest, lasting friendships are formed!

As the last golden days of summer slowly slip away, it’s the perfect time to stock up on our refreshing Johanna Dry Rosé 2025. This beautifully pale rosé shows vibrant aromas of fresh strawberries, watermelon and delicate rose petals, with a crisp, dry finish that makes it irresistibly drinkable. Elegant, lively and wonderfully refreshing, it’s the ideal companion for warm afternoons, light lunches and sunset gatherings. Be sure to place your order before the summer days are gone and this vintage disappears from our cellar.
