Tokara
Tokara Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 has been named in the World's Best Sommeliers' Selection 2026.

Tokara is honoured to share that our Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 has been named in the World's Best Sommeliers' Selection (WBSS) for 2026 – a recognition that means a great deal to our team.

Cabernet Sauvignon has long been our focus variety here at Tokara. Grown on the slopes of the Simonsberg, these vineyards continue to inspire us with their structure, depth and sense of place. To see this variety acknowledged on an international stage is both humbling and rewarding.

We’re equally proud that the 2021 vintage was selected for the 2025 list – a wonderful affirmation of the consistency and intent behind our Cabernet commitment.

Here’s to Cabernet Sauvignon, to Stellenbosch and to the remarkable slopes of the Simonsberg that shape every vintage.

The World’s Best Sommeliers’ Selection (WBSS) for 2026 is available to view HERE, accompanied by the sommeliers’ collective tasting notes and food pairing recommendations. The tasting panel brought together 29 sommeliers and wine directors from some of the world’s most celebrated restaurants. All the sommeliers represented venues featured in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, including Gaggan, Table by Bruno Verjus, Don Julio, Potong, Plénitude, and Ikoyi from the 2025 list.
