Zevenwacht Wine Estate
Hagen Viljoen and Charles Lourens of Zevenwacht Wine Estate share a harvest update from the wine cellar.

Harvest is always a moment of both culmination and promise, the closing chapter of one growing season and the first page of the next vintage story.

Harvest 2026 is now about a third of the way complete at Zevenwacht, with encouraging signs across both vineyard and cellar. Yields are up on recent seasons, and the fruit is coming in beautifully, healthy, balanced, and full of flavour. The warmer weather has accelerated picking, keeping the teams moving at a lively pace as the final white varieties arrive and attention turns to the reds in the week ahead.

The overall quality is looking very promising and the cellar and vineyard teams are energised by the pace of the season and excited for the remainder of harvest.
