Steenberg
Elevate your summer with a scenic helicopter journey and a refined stay at Steenberg, where aerial adventure meets vineyard tranquility.

There are a few places in the world where dramatic natural beauty and refined tranquillity exist so effortlessly side by side. This summer, travellers are invited to experience both through an exclusive offering that pairs a scenic helicopter journey over Cape Town with an unhurried stay at Steenberg Hotel in the Constantia Valley.

Created in partnership with NAC Cape Town, the Steenberg Takes Flight experience begins high above the city, revealing the Cape’s iconic landscapes from a panoramic aerial perspective, before descending into the calm, historic surrounds of one of South Africa's most established wine estates, Steenberg. The contrast is intentional: the exhilaration of flight followed by time to slow down, reconnect and savour the details.

Guests can choose between two curated helicopter routes, each offering a distinct way to see the Cape.

  1. The City and Coast experience captures the essence of Cape Town in a single, sweeping loop, framing ocean, mountain and city before landing at the V&A Waterfront for the return shuttle back to Steenberg. Designed for those seeking a concise yet striking introduction, this option is available from R27 770 per room, per night, for stays between 5 January and 28 February 2026.

  2. For a more expansive aerial adventure, the Cape Peninsula Panorama traces the rugged coastline and dramatic headlands of the Peninsula, passing over Constantia, the Atlantic Seaboard, and down towards Noordhoek before returning to the estate. This extended journey offers a rare perspective on the scale and diversity of the Cape’s landscapes and is priced from R41 140 per room, per night for the same travel period.

Both experiences include a one-night stay for one or two guests at Steenberg Hotel, with breakfast served at Tryn or Bistro Sixteen82, or enjoyed privately in-room. On arrival, guests are welcomed with a bottle of Steenberg's signature wine and mineral water, setting the tone for a stay shaped by generous, thoughtful touches. A flagship wine tasting offers insight into the estate’s celebrated winemaking, while complimentary use of mountain bikes encourages exploration of the 300-hectare property at a relaxed pace.

Wellness is woven into the experience, with access to the outdoor Thermal Suite during the day (08h00 - 18h00, advance booking required), as well as use of the Relaxation Area and showers for early arrivals or late departures.

Whether wandering the gardens, dining on the estate, or unwinding in the privacy of a suite, the focus remains on ease and unhurried enjoyment.

Guests can further personalise their stay with optional enhancements, including a 10% saving on additional nights, dining credits (R800 per person) or spa credits (R2 000 per person), subject to availability.

It promises a seamless blend of adventure and repose; an elevated way to see the Cape from above, before returning to the grounded pleasures of vineyard living in Constantia.
