A look back at the 2025 Run and Ride for Renosterveld with the Bottelary Hills Conservancy
We hosted our third Run and Ride for Renosterveld together with the Bottelary Hills Renosterveld Conservancy – and what a day it was! Runners and riders took on the steep climbs and winding trails of the Bottelary Hills, surrounded by spectacular views, blooming Renosterveld, and the warm spirit of the Stellenbosch community.
Beyond the fun and fitness, the event highlights a vital cause – the conservation of one of the Cape’s most threatened ecosystems. Less than 5% of Renosterveld remains today, yet it supports an incredible diversity of bulbs, wildflowers, and species found nowhere else on Earth. At Jordan Wine Estate, we’re proud to protect our own pockets of untouched Renosterveld between the vineyards. These areas remain open and undisturbed, providing safe spaces for indigenous plants and wildlife to thrive alongside our vines.
After the trails, guests gathered back at the estate to unwind with award-winning wines, live music, and well-deserved relaxation under the trees. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined and helped make this event such a success.
