We have a selection of incredible wines to taste at our tasting room, overlooking our octagonal-shaped garden, where guests have the option of tasting inside or outside on the patio. Choose between an Estate and V Tasting, a Reserve Tasting, and a Heritage Tasting.

2. Fauna and flora eco tours
Step into the wild beauty of our biodiversity nature reserve! Spot Nguni cattle, bontebok, Rau-Quagga, eland antelope, and other wild animals on a guided tour. You'll also see beautiful indigenous fynbos along the way.

3. Tea and cake at Rose Terrace Tea Room
The Rose Terrace Tea Room is located beside a glorious rose garden, where hundreds of fragrant rose bushes create a serene, scented atmosphere. Satisfy sweet cravings with an ever-changing range of cakes, from traditional favourites to one-of-a-kind creations. The menu also includes delicious savouries such as pies and quiches.
Our tea room is also perfect for a charming high tea with friends or colleagues. We cater to groups of 10-24 people.

4. Garden and heritage tour with Aunty Penny
Explore 300 years of Cape history and 17 themed gardens with our passionate guide, Aunty Penny. Highlights include the historic homestead, camphor trees, beautiful spring flowers, and a 200-year-old library with over 4 000 books. As this is a walking tour, comfortable shoes are recommended!

Enjoy a relaxed dining experience at the Stables at Vergelegen. Classic with a modern twist, the bistro-style restaurant offers a varied, contemporary menu of simple but visually delectable dishes for a warm and family-friendly dining experience. There is a playground at the restaurant, making it a haven for kids.
