October news from Muratie Wine Estate

Muratie
October is often called the most beautiful month, and on Muratie, there is certainly a palpable sense of renewal.

Our vineyards on Muratie Wine Estate are bursting into life, quite literally, with most of the early ripening cultivars like Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot and Grenache budding already. Bud break has been beautifully even thus far, and the vineyards are looking supremely healthy after a good winter. Suckering is also currently being performed, which is the removal of unwanted shoots to channel all the vines' energy into the bearers. The production team's excitement is building for harvest 2026!

To celebrate the new growing season and the altogether rosy atmosphere on the farm, we are offering an exciting promotion on the Johanna Rosé.

This fresh, vivacious dry rosé is hugely popular and named after one of Muratie's veteran residents, Johanna Davids, who fittingly is an expert flower arranger! It has a classic onion-skin colour and brims with red berry and cherry flavours and floral aromas. A tantalising choice to enjoy with al-fresco meals or evening sundowners on the patio to savour the longer balmy days.

Throughout October, enjoy this incredible wine at a special price of only R100 per bottle.
