The 2025 Absa Pinotage competitions have unveiled an exciting lineup of finalists across three categories, showcasing the depth and versatility of South Africa’s signature grape.
Twenty wines have been named Absa Top 20 Pinotage Finalists, including iconic producers such as Kanonkop, Beyerskloof, Beeslaar, Diemersdal, Simonsig, Warwick, and emerging names from Wellington, Klawer, and Glen Carlou.
The Absa Perold Cape Blend category highlights ten exceptional blends from estates including Bellevue, Idiom, KWV, Koelenhof, Perdeberg, and Simonsig, while six vibrant finalists lead the Absa Pinotage Rosé selection, from Beyerskloof and Kaapzicht to Bon Courage, Jakkalsvlei, Pulpit Rock, and Windmeul.
Together, these finalists reflect the strength, diversity, and growing prestige of Pinotage and its related styles as South Africa celebrates the cultivar’s centenary year.
