A unique, multi-sensory dinner experience awaits at Nederburg in Paarl on 26 and 27 September, as the Paarl winery continues its acclaimed Dinner of Discovery series under the bold theme: The African Table.

Fully booked in June, July and August, the series has captivated wine lovers with its unexpected mix of flavour, fragrance, sound, texture, and storytelling - all brought to life in secret locations across the Nederburg farm.

But this is no ordinary wine-and-dine. Guests are blindfolded. Mystery wines appear. Aromas and music shift perceptions. A glass placed in your hand might challenge you to distinguish red from white, while carefully curated dishes reveal African culinary threads, reimagined with modern flair and beautifully paired Nederburg wines.

“This event ties in with our brand promise that there’s a table waiting for you in places you can’t even imagine,” says Nederburg general manager, Kate Jackson. “Not just physical places, but also imagined ones, where your senses are fully alive. In the end, wine is a feeling, a memory, a pleasure that connects us to each other and ourselves. We want guests to apply all their senses, be present, and discover something memorable.”

The September theme, Fire and Vine, promises a powerful journey into the primal elements of African cooking, explored through fire-kissed flavours, bold textures, and layered wines.
