Babylonstoren turns 15
This month marks 15 years since the first guests walked through our gates. Fifteen seasons of planting, tending and sharing. With each passing year the farm has flourished and so has our community. Thank you for being part of our story.
Do join us in celebrating this milestone with a stroll through the garden, where loquats and the very first peaches are ripening – a delicious sign that summer’s bounty is near. The Welwitschia Garden has shed its winter raincoat and is basking in the warmth, while just beyond the rock gong the river embankment leads to the rich regional diversity of the Succulent Garden.

Delightful dining at the Old Bakery
Our Italian-inspired evenings on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays celebrate bold Italian flavours in the warmth of the Old Bakery. Expect seasonal antipasti and hearty mains served with wines from Babylonstoren and Vignamaggio, our sister estate in Tuscany. At Carnivore Evenings on Wednesdays and Sundays, our skilled braai masters light the fires for an unforgettable South African feast. Prime cuts grilled to perfection, a crackling fire, foot- tapping local folk music and an always-festive crowd set the scene for an unforgettable dining experience. Book here for Old Bakery evening.
Celebrating Garden Day
Any day of the year – but especially on Garden Day – our garden is yours. Join us on Sunday, 12 October to celebrate all things green and gorgeous. Weave a flower crown at one of our workshops or bring your own. Wander the farmyard, sipping and savouring delicious bites and drinks from tasting stations along the way. End the day with a guided garden walk and a harvest table under the setting sun.

Toast with Mourvèdre Rosé
Join us in raising a glass to our blush darling this October – and you could walk away with a gift too. Buy six bottles of Babylonstoren Mourvèdre Rosé from our Tasting Room and stand a chance to win a R15 000 Babylonstoren voucher to spend anywhere on the farm. Keep an eye on our socials – we’ll be sharing celebratory sips of Mourvèdre Rosé with friends of the farm, near and far, all month long.

That spring feeling

As Robin Williams put it, “Spring is nature’s way of saying, let’s party.” At Babylonstoren, the celebration takes shape in tender shoots, fragrant blossoms and warm African light. Sip rosé on the koppie at sunset or take a leisurely cycle through orchards humming with new life. Spring brims with promise – come savour it in full. This October, enjoy 15% off when you book a two-night stay from Sunday to Thursday.
Bottled botanicals
We’re forever inspired by Mother Nature’s perfumery. Step into the Scented Room to discover our newly launched Tuinier collection – invigorating home fragrances rooted in the fertile soil of the garden. Botanical Beet, Herb Garden, and Summer Heirloom capture the freshly picked scents of the earth.
