Blaauwklippen
In the heart of Blaauwklippen’s storied vineyards, one woman stands at the helm of our winemaking: Narina Cloete.

As winemaker of Blaauwklippen, Narina brings not only technical brilliance to the cellar, but a rare instinct for balance, between boldness and finesse, science and artistry, legacy and forward thinking. Her presence is quietly powerful, her palate refined, and her passion for the vine unmistakable.

With a winemaking career spanning more than two decades, Narina has honed her craft across some of the Cape’s most respected cellars. Her arrival at Blaauwklippen marked a new chapter, one that blends her deep respect for terroir with a progressive approach to varietals like Zinfandel, Malbec, and Cap Classique.

She describes her philosophy simply: “Let the vineyard speak. My job is to listen.”

What sets Narina apart isn’t just her skill, but her leadership. She inspires a team of diverse individuals through mentorship, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to quality. In a field still largely dominated by men, she leads by example, not with noise, but with excellence.

From the structured elegance of our Malbec to the vibrant charm of our Zinfandel Cap Classique, Narina’s touch is unmistakable. She crafts wines that are expressive yet approachable, sophisticated without pretense, much like the woman herself.

As we celebrate Women’s Month, we raise our glass to Narina Cloete: a winemaker, a trailblazer, and a vital part of the Blaauwklippen legacy.
