Paul Clüver Family Wines
Paul Clüver Family Wines is hosting a heartfelt celebration of South African flavours, music and wine on Braai Day, 24 September 2025.

Celebrate National Braai Day, under the trees, with soulful food by Bertus Basson, heritage flavour from Jan Braai, great wine, and the music of Elvis Blue in the Paul Clüver Amphitheatre at Paul Clüver Family Wine Estate. Pinot Noir and Fire brings together the soul of South African braai culture with the elegance of our cool-climate Pinot Noir.

Endorsed by Jan Braai, with celebrated chef Bertus Basson at the coals, the menu promises an inspired take on South African heritage cooking.

Guests will enjoy a generous, live‑fire feast served from braai stations across the amphitheatre lawns, including Cape Malay lamb sosaties, chutney‑basted chicken thighs, whole apricot‑glazed snoek, and aged sirloin with chimichurri, each paired with thoughtful seasonal sides like creamy samp, harissa mielies, and kale and apple salad. A beautifully curated brood tafel will welcome guests with roosterkoek, biltong spread, fresh fruit, and more. To end, roaming dessert trays will offer nostalgic favourites like mini melktert, peppermint crisp tart, and koeksisters.

To set the mood, award-winning artist Elvis Blue will perform live in our forest amphitheatre.

Each R850 ticket includes all food, a glass of Paul Clüver Village Pinot Noir, and a live performance by award‑winning local artist Elvis Blue.

Wine, coffee and water will be available for purchase on the day.

In the event of inclement weather, the event will be cancelled. A final decision will be made and communicated one week prior.

It’s an afternoon of soulful flavours, open skies, and warm hospitality, just as it should be on Braai Day.
