Composition and vinification
A compelling blend of 62% Chenin Blanc, 14% Grenache Blanc, 14% Viognier, and 10% Verdelho that hails from vineyards rooted in decomposed granite, Malmesbury shales, and Glenrosa soils, all under natural dryland conditions
Vintage notes and production
The 2023 vintage featured an early start, dry spring, followed by relief rainfall in December, culminating in an accelerated yet promising harvest, gentle de-stemming and brief skin-contact (2 hours), only free-run juice fermented. No malolactic fermentation occurred; instead, the wine rested on its lees until bottling. Half (50%) was matured for 10 months in 500-litre second-fill French oak barrels, preserving vibrancy and depth.
Tasting profile
Aromas of citrus, passion fruit, litchi, and white pear leap from the glass. The wine is crafted in a New‑World style—structured, complex, and fruit-driven.
