A true testament to the venerable Grande Dame of Stellenbosch, Lanzerac. With a storied history of a remarkable woman, Mrs Elizabeth Catherina (Kitty) English, who laid a foundation and paved the way forward for many strong women.

One distinguished woman at Lanzerac truly embodies the essence of quiet strength and unwavering dedication: Bongiswa Sakawuli. A silent warrior and mother to all, Bongi has been a pillar of grace and resilience since her journey began with us in 2014. Starting as a young and passionate Food and Beverage Ambassador, she pursued her vision with purpose, precision, and heart. In 2022, Bongi moved into the role as food and beverage supervisor – crafting not just a career, but a legacy of leadership rooted in humility and excellence.

Today, we are deeply honoured to celebrate a new chapter in her remarkable journey, as she steps into the position of restaurant manager.

Thank you, Bongi, for the countless unseen moments, your tireless dedication, and the nurturing spirit you bring to every space.

If you prefer a classic rich red, our Lanzerac Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied wine with excellent balance on the palate and a smooth, lingering aftertaste. It boasts inviting flavours of blackberry and youngberry with hints of cocoa, almond and cedar.
