This year marks the 8th annual Seven Days of Shiraz, hosted by Shiraz SA from 21–28 August, in celebration of National Shiraz Day on 21 August.
But why limit it to a week? At Kleine Zalze, we believe Shiraz deserves the whole month. That’s why we’re turning August into Shiraz Month – and you’re invited to join.

More wine news: Celebrating Old Vine Day – 1 August 2025
Join us as we celebrate Old Vine Day, a tribute to South Africa’s Certified Heritage Vineyards – with Chenin Blanc at the heart of this story.
South Africa boasts 4 292 hectares of officially certified old vines (35+ years), with more than half of the Heritage Vineyards being Chenin Blanc. Around 558 hectares of the Heritage Chenin Blanc are found in Stellenbosch.
Here is where Kleine Zalze Wines play a major role in the preservation of these weathered old vineyards by being the largest buyer of these exceptional grapes to use for the production of their Family Reserve, Vineyard Selection, and Project Z Chenin Blanc wines.
Featured wines:
- Family Reserve Chenin Blanc 2023 – 5 Stars in the Platter’s Wine Guide and Top 10 Chenin Blanc
- Vineyard Selection Chenin Blanc 2024 – Grand Gold at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2025
Both wines are available online and in our tasting room.
