Join us for a beloved annual weekend of fine food and wine, live music, and nature at its best! The Wine, Whales and Music Weekend at De Hoop Collection takes place this weekend (11-13 July) and is packed with plenty of activities to indulge the soul:
Friday:
Evening wine tasting at 18h00, followed by a wine & food pairing dinner with live performance by acclaimed singer Lucy Tops.
Saturday:
10h00: Chocolate truffle workshop with artisan chocolatier Richard von Geusau.
11h00–15h00: Wine and cheese tastings from top local producers: Avalon/Snow Mountain, Bruce Jack Wines, Creation, La Vierge, Lomond, Maanschijn, Springfontein and McFarlane Wines.
15h30: “Geological Overview of De Hoop” – a talk by geoscientist Tobias Tonsing.
19h00: Elegant dinner with Whale Time Serenade for Strings and Flute featuring classical favourites by Bach, Vivaldi, Strauss, and more.
Sunday:
10h00: Guided Marine Walk at Koppie Alleen with whale watching.

Wine of the week: Bruce Jack Heritage Collection Flag of Truce Pinotage 2022
Our Bruce Jack Heritage Collection Flag of Truce Pinotage 2022 continues to receive awards. Most recently, it was awarded 95 points and a Gold medal at the 2025 Decanter World Wine Awards. The vineyard site is living up to its reputation as the most awarded Pinotage vineyard in the world. We have prereleased this special vintage to the members of our Jack in the Box Wine Club.
