Vergenoegd Löw near Stellenbosch will host a stirring afternoon of classical music on Saturday, 2 August, with a special performance by the acclaimed Take Four Piano Quartet, a highlight on the calendar as South Africa enters Women’s Month.
The ensemble features four of the country’s most celebrated classical musicians Zanta Hofmeyr (violin), Jeanne-Louise Moolman (viola), Susan Mouton (cello), and Elna van der Merwe (piano). Longstanding friends and respected soloists, the quartet formed in 2022, united by their shared love of chamber music and a desire to perform together.
Guests can look forward to a rich and emotionally resonant programme featuring works by Brahms and Dvořák, performed in the estate’s beautiful atmospheric Chapel.
The event begins with welcome drinks at 14h00 at the historic 1773 Homestead, followed by the concert at 15:00, and concludes with a three-course dinner and wine service at Clara’s Barn.
Tickets cost R900 and include the performance, dinner, and a complimentary glass of wine.
Vergenoegd Löw wines will be available for purchase at special prices.
