Saronsberg Seismic, the perfect pairing with chilly evenings beside the fire
Saronsberg Seismic 2022 is a full-bodied Bordeaux-style blend, that brings together five classic estate-grown varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc, to create a rich yet beautifully integrated expression of Saronsberg's unique terroir. It has been a signature wine since 2004.
The 2022 release has spent 20 months maturing in French oak barrels (38% new, 62% second-fill) and was awarded both Gold and Platinum on release. Crafted to evolve gracefully for the next 8-12 years.
You can expect ripe notes of cassis, red currant, and plum, gently framed by cedar, tobacco leaf, and fine-grained tannins.
This full-bodied red blend was made for long winter evenings and conversations by the fire. Bold, refined, deep.

A harvest update from the team
The craziness of the harvest is behind us. This year brought the earliest harvest in Saronsberg history, with all our red grapes ripening almost simultaneously - a rare and demanding twist.
Thanks to an extraordinary team (and a few helpful friends), every barrel is now filled, and the foundations are laid for what promises to be an exceptional 2025 vintage.
Our Shiraz and Bordeaux-style varietals are already showing beautiful early promise, with exciting new blocks coming online, and some old favourites celebrating over 20 years in the ground.
We may be impatient to share our Shiraz with you, but as always, time is the final ingredient.
