Boschendal is pleased to announce that the Boschendal Jean Le Long Prestige Cuvée Blanc de Blancs 2012 has been awarded the highly coveted South African Sparkling Trophy at this year’s International Wine Challenge – a rare and exceptional honour in one of the world’s most rigorous and respected wine competitions.
Boschendal Jean Le Long 2012 is a dry Cap Classique with a seductive pale gold colour and a flourish of tiny bubbles that captures the imagination immediately. On the nose, it has enticing lemon cream, beeswax, pink grapefruit, and toasty brioche aromas that persist onto an intricate palate. Here, the beautiful citrus core of lemon and orange zest opens up, along with rich roast nuts and flattering minerality, finishing with extraordinary length and freshness.
This remarkable accolade places our Cap Classique among the finest sparkling wines globally and celebrates the dedication, craftsmanship, and vision that define our winemaking philosophy.
“Cap Classique is a pursuit of patience as much as passion, which the Jean Le Long is testament to,” says Danielle Coetsee. To see that commitment recognised on an international stage with a Trophy at the IWC is an incredible honour. This recognition confirms what we’ve always believed: that Boschendal’s Cap Classique belongs on the world stage.
Raise a glass with us to celebrate and congratulate Danielle Coetsee on her meticulous craft, and the entire winemaking team of Boschendal!
