Zevenwacht Wine Estate
The 2025 harvest is well underway at Zevenwacht Wine Estate, Stellenbosch.

The 2025 harvest is well underway and our team has been busy carefully handpicking our prized Old Vine Chenin Blanc grapes this week. This is one of the oldest vineyards on the estate so particular attention is given to these grapes to produce Chenin Blanc with exceptional character and depth.

Unfortunately, the weekend of 14-16 February brought unexpected challenges. A fire broke out on our sister farm, Zevenrivieren, in the Banhoek Valley, Stellenbosch. Sadly, our Chenin Blanc, Pinotage, Shiraz, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc vineyards were burnt

While this is a difficult setback, we are remain optimistic about the season ahead, focusing on the resilience of our remaining vineyards and the quality of the fruit still to come. We are incredibly grateful to to the Volunteer Wildfire Services for their dedication in bringing the fire under control.

Introducing the Z Collection Reserve 2022

This new vintage is a beautifully complex blend with intense notes of cassis, wet tobacco, blackberry, and liquorice, complemented by hints of graphite and allspice.

At its core is Cabernet Sauvignon grown on southwest-facing slopes on Zevenwacht bringing the aromatic depth and fruit intensity to this wine while the Petit Verdot, sourced from Zevenrivieren adds mid-palate weight and refined tannins.
