La Petite Ferme
At La Petite Ferme, our dishes are lovingly prepared to showcase the bounty of the Franschhoek Valley.

We invite you to come and experience the unique essence of the region at La Petite Ferme – a celebration of country-style cuisine incorporating the freshest local flavours.

From farm to table

For your dining pleasure, we believe in letting the quality of our ingredients shine. We source newly harvested, seasonal produce directly from local farmers. Our chefs draw inspiration from these ingredients to develop dishes that are both mouthwatering and visually appealing.

Our menus change with the seasons as we showcase the freshest available produce. In the spring, you can expect dishes like Kapokbos Rolled Lamb paired with pomme purée, red wine jus and glazed baby carrots fresh off the farm. Summer will include an abundance of vibrant salads, while autumn and winter offerings deliver gourmet at-home comfort as the cooler weather sets in.

Chef’s Table Experience

Although our recipes are our secret, we love to share the theatre of our menu creation with you. You are invited to take a seat at the Chef’s Table for an unforgettable food journey.

Enjoy the best food and wine pairing and have the opportunity to engage with head chef Lance Peters. As each course is prepared and presented, he will share insightful snippets about the culinary techniques, flavour profiles and inspirations for each.

Themed wine and dine evenings

These specialised wine evenings shift the focus to specific cultivars and regions. Travel through a unique and memorable food journey that will satisfy the most ardent food and wine enthusiasts. Gather your friends and family for this fantastic experience.

To give you an idea, here are some themes we have explored:

  • Botanical Feast: Highlighting the fresh, vibrant flavours from the garden.
  • Asian Fusion: Be transported through diverse Asian cuisines with both modern and traditional influences.
  • Manor House Inspired: A historical journey through the favourite dishes of the personalities the Manor House rooms are named after.
  • French Fusion: The rich influence of France on the Franschhoek Valley is explored through a divine fusion of French and South African flavours.
  • Family Style: Communal dining with shared platters and carvery reminiscent of a family gathering.
