Du Toitskloof Wines was awarded a platinum and four double gold medals at the 2024 Michelangelo International Wine and Spirits Awards.

DTK Wines, a leading South African wine producer based in the Breedekloof, once again showed how their commitment to quality remains consistent at any given price bracket in the market.

The Michelangelo International Wine and Spirits Awards was established in 1997 to offer South African producers the opportunity of having their wines adjudicated locally by a highly experienced and respected panel of professionals from around the globe.

Here are the 6 highest scoring wines that we entered this year:

  • Du Toitskloof Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 - Platinum medal
  • Du Toitskloof Sauvignon Blanc 2024 - Double Gold medal
  • Du Toitskloof Pinotage 2022 - Double Gold medal
  • Du Toitskloof Granite Pinotage 2021 - Double Gold medal
  • Land's End Cape South Coast Sauvignon Blanc 2024 - Double Gold medal
  • Quest Two 2020 - Gold medal

We're very proud of our platinum medal (one of only 33) that was awarded to our Du Toitskloof Cabernet Sauvignon 2021. This is a wine competition where there is complete transparency: All products are judged "blind", so judges aren’t aware of the origin of the product being adjudicated and aren’t influenced by product packaging.

This is a great achievement for this wine that was awarded a double gold for its 2020 vintage, taking it a step up to Platinum with the latest vintage (2021). The Du Toitskloof Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 is available at major retailers and our online shop.

Our Michelangelo Awards highlights (every wine that won a gold medal and higher) are now available in a mixed case. Click HERE to purchase it via our online shop.
