We're celebrating Pinotage Month, gearing up for next year’s 100-year Pinotage milestone, and marking 55 years of Pinotage at Simonsig. We’ve even turned our entrance avenue pink for a great cause. Our Trees have turned pink for a good cause
At Simonsig, we believe in the power of community and standing together in support of meaningful causes. This October, we’ve wrapped our trees in vibrant pink to show solidarity for Pink Trees for Pauline, a wonderful initiative raising awareness and funds for those affected by cancer.
But we're not stopping there. For the entire month of October, we will donate R5 for every bottle of Needless to Say Rosé, Kaapse Vonkel Brut Rosé, and Satin Nectar Rosé purchased in our tasting room or online.

A crown jewel shines at Amorim Cap Classique Challenge
We are proud to announce that our Kaapse Vonkel Satin Royale has been crowned South Africa’s top Nectar Cap Classique at the 2024 Amorim Cap Classique Challenge. Satin Royale, which was introduced to our Cap Classique collection in late 2023, was the only Nectar to be awarded a Gold medal at this prestigious competition.
In addition to this win, Simonsig also took home two other top medals:
- Gold for Kaapse Vonkel Brut 2020 in the Brut Blend category
- Gold for Kaapse Vonkel 2017 (recently disgorged) in the Extended Ageing category
