The Wine Room opened a premium new retail showroom in Constantia Old Village on 1 October! The new showroom houses products from top imported brands – from wine coolers, beverage fridges, and champagne holders to crystal stemware, decanters and humidors.
The Wine Room specialises in creating upmarket, state-of-the-art wine cellars and bars; including retailing a wide range of wine displays, appliances and accessories for your wine cellar or bar display.
Custom wine cellars and bars
Our turn-key service includes design, manufacturing and installation of cellars, bars, understairs displays, drinks areas and cooled cabinets. We provide solutions for wine racking, integrated lighting, temperature and humidity control; cellar-graded glazing, insulation and vapour barrier as required. Spiral cellars
The Wine Room is also the exclusive distributor of spiral cellars in South Africa – a unique space-saving underground cellar capable of holding up to 1900 bottles of wine in full cellaring conditions. A Spiral Cellar can be installed under any ground floor room and doesn’t require an existing cellar or basement. Built from engineered concrete, a Spiral Cellar can either be fitted cleanly into a finished room, or form part of a new house build, extension or refurbishment project. Installation usually takes no more than between two to three weeks and as it creates surprisingly little mess, there’s no need to move out.
Wine display products
The Wine Room stocks The Rare Cork, Floatwine and other branded wine display products in South Africa, offering endless options to showcase wine in a bar, kitchen, living area or restaurant. Our range includes wall-mounted or freestanding wine peg columns; upmarket peg panels; stainless steel suspended cables; and a variety of premium modular steel and oak displays, all available to view on our website; for supply by ourselves of by a client or contractor.
Appliances and accessories
The Wine Room stocks an extensive range of appliances and accessories relating to wine cellars, tasting rooms and bar areas. A selected introduction to our range includes Coravin and Zzysh wine preservation and serving units; wine aerators and champagne swords; imported Bottega Del Vino, Riedel, Zwiesel and Zalto hand-blown crystal stemware and decanters; cigar humidors; Liebherr, Smeg and Snomaster wine and beverage fridges; as well as imported Poker cards and state-of-the-art Kaelo champagne bottle coolers.
