The Trophy Wine Show, brought to you by Investec, is one of South African's leading wine competitions. At the awards ceremony held in real Cape winter rains on Tuesday, 4 June 2024 at Glen Carlou, KWV walked off with the coveted award for Most Successful Producer as well as several top 10 positions. Nederburg won the Business Day Trophy for Best Shiraz; the Investec Trophy for Discovery of the Show as Best Value Gold medallist; and the Investec Trophy for Best Red Wine Overall for their Wine Masters Shiraz 2022.
FedEx Next Generation Awards at the Vineyard Hotel - Jeanine
The results of the inaugural Next Generation Awards sponsored by FedEx Express and convened by Winemag.co.za were announced at an awards ceremony on Tuesday, 11 June 2024 at Vineyard Hotel in Newlands, Cape Town. The aim of this new competition is to identify South Africa’s emerging young winemaking talent under 35 years of age.

The new wine competition's mission is to create the largest listing of blind tasted wines in South Africa. The awards ceremony took place on a perfect winter afternoon on Thursday, 13 June 2024 at Cavalli Estate.
SA Terroir Wine Awards at Lanzerac - Judy
The annual SA Terroir Wine Awards was held on Wednesday, 14 August at Lanzerac, Stellenbosch. It was a good day for little-known Eerste Hoop Wine Estate near Bot River and Springfontein Wine Estate outside Stanford. The Springfontein Single Vineyard Jonathan’s Ridge Pinotage 2018 clinched the 2024 SA Terroir Trophy for the top wine overall out of all entries.

Shiraz SA revealed the winners of the 12th annual Shiraz SA Challenge, with six vintages from a wide variety of regions performing excellently. The awards event on Thursday, 15 August 2024 brought together finalists, wine industry celebrities, and media at Simonsvlei, Paarl. Tracey Lange was the master of ceremonies, and musician Schalk Joubert entertained the guests.
